Getting Around
Charter flights connect safari parks (bush planes land on dirt strips). Coastal Aviation, Auric Air, and Regional Air serve the Northern Circuit. Road transfers are common between Arusha, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire (2–5 hr). The Serengeti requires a charter flight from Arusha (1.5 hr) or a long drive via Ngorongoro. Ferries and short flights connect Zanzibar (15 min from Dar es Salaam). Safari vehicles are 4×4 with pop-up roofs.
