Fall River double murder suspect charged



A 54-year-old man has been charged in connection with a double murder that occurred in Fall River on Friday.

Arlington Cole, 54, of Fall River, was charged with two counts of murder and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn, III.

He’s accused of killing Elizabeth Almeida, 54, and her son Nicholas Almeida, 25, at 431 Barnes Street.

According to the DA, Cole is expected to be arraigned at Fall River District Court on Monday.

The double murder is being investigated by the Mass State Police, the DA’s office, and the Fall River Police.
